North Clover Street

North Clover Street is the 2nd studio album by Joshua Smith, recorded from August 2019- April 2022 at the Music Room in Rhinebeck, NY.

This album took quite a bit of effort to record but it was a labor of love. The basis of songwriting for the album mostly revolves around immigration. Instead of tackling modern-day immigration head-on, I wrote about immigrants coming from Italy to New York in the early to mid-1800s. I want us as Americans to remember the struggles our ancestors endured for us to be able to live in the country we do. It's not fair for us to judge those who seek the same refuge as our families once did. The release date was postponed several times due to both a car accident I was involved in as well as the COVID-19 outbreak and shutdown.
